Verdins (Auriparus flaviceps) are residents in the Verde Valley of Central Arizona, occupying the Mesquite/Graythorn/Acacia scrub in the area. This male was recorded in a Mesquite near Peck's Lake [Arizona] in late October, 1997. Sometimes they'll chatter like this for several minutes, almost solid.
