Blue breasted kingfisher (Halcyon malimbica). This bird allowed a close approach by the photographer. The breast is wet from foraging in the moist understory. Whilebeing watched it became suddenly alert, dived down, grabbed a pinkish worm-like invertebrate, returned to the branch and bashed the worm against the branch before swallowing it.
