This is the Northern Jacana (Jacana spinosa) in Costa Rica. These recordings were made in the marsh 10 miles north of Quepos (Costa Rica), where the Jacana breeding season was in full swing. These guys are very interesting birds, lots of ritual behavior, and lots of vocalization. For a good primer on these fascinating and beautiful birds, take a look at Godfrey Jackson's Jacana pages.
